Julia Fiona Roberts is the daughter of Betty Lou Bredemus, and Walter Grady Roberts. She was born on the 28th of October 1967, in Atlanta. Her grandfather, her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts, a farmer and farmer, was the very first Roberts to arrive in Atlanta. The father of her mother took the first interest to theater. In 1952, while an undergraduate at Emory University, he performed in several productions in Atlanta. In 1953, he joined the Air Force, and was stationed at Biloxi in Mississippi acted in an production along with Betty Lou Bredemus. The couple married in 1955 and their first child Eric Anthony was born in 1956. Walter as well as his spouse left the military in the year 1957 when they enrolled Walter at Tulane University. Walter started his work at Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio in 1960. Walter along with Betty Lou started production in 1964 on the local Saturday morning children's television program Bum Bum and His Buddies and their Buddies, which they themselves funded. In the following year, they established The Actors and Writers Workshop which continued for six seasons. During this time they had two more youngsters Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in the year 1965, and Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
